Tuesdays: they used to be not fun.

Until I hired my younger brother to be my busboy here at the restaurant, and now I have someone to TALK to! And someone to close up with me, so I'm not so freaked about having to close by my lonesome.

Sort of. I mean, first and foremost I'm his BOSS, but still. He's familiar, and that's good. Even though it makes me a little sad ... to be reminded that he's 16 already, and in a few years we'll have even less contact than we do now. I mean, we'll always be close, but I have to face facts: he's growing up.

Despite themselves, I do rather love the arrival of Tuesdays, because their successors - Wednesdays - happen to be my OFF day, and I love that! :)

So tomorrow, I have slated ... quite a lot. I need to pick up Greek imports at 10:30, which means I have to be up at 8:00. After that, I'm going to head over to Petsmart to pick up some stuff for my doggies, and then to Hobby Lobby for some more embroidery hoops and possibly some bullcorn that I don't need...I had the urge to buy glitter the other day, and I stopped myself. Because glitter is something I never use (and also the last thing I would ever need).
Once I'm done with that, and I get back to lovely G-Town ... I need to wash all three of my dogs (a task that takes two people, because they all -hate- baths. With a passion). And then the rest of that day is mine!

Funny how little that actually works out to be ... but at least I have no caterings to do.

Yay for a new blog!

I didn't like the old one on livejournal so much.

I named it "Lackadaisicality" after a made-up word, used in high school, that I wrote on nearly all of my sketchbooks....back when I was a rather lackluster student and/or slacker in general (good luck getting away with that NOW!)

What is there about me to say? I sketch, I draw, I paint, I make toys for my nieces. I sew, I embroider, I get my greedy hands on anything and everything I can learn that has to do with craft. I read a lot, and occasionally write. Sometimes I take pictures, but they are of little quality (lol). And this is where I rant!
